I would give it 2 stars for having some solid examples that can be gleaned if you’re willing to wade through the tremendous amount of unrelated content and mistakes throughout the book. This is a great book to walk anyone, especially those new to electronics and programming, through a gradual introduction to the Arduino.

Instead, he introduces the C language in small bits and always in the context of how you use it to achieve a design goal. I would advise anyone picking up this book to get a decent Arduino starter kit with stuff like resistors, input buttons, LEDs, etc. As good place to start as any, so why not give this a try.
